The maintenance on these systems if choosing a proximity operated unit which will read a chip in a card or key fob etc from a small distance with no contact or button pressing needed. is greatly reduced as they now contain no moving parts. This card or fob can then be carried with the employee for access control or I.D purposes, this card or fob can then not be used by another employee fraudulently
